Like to Drive? Take a 10 minute drive into Dinan it’s one of the best preserved, prettiest towns in Brittany, whose chateau is shown on the Bayeux Tapestry. Known as the Jewel in Brittany’s crown, it’s a walled Medieval Town, with cobbled streets hosting, Restaurants, Shops, Bars, and the bustle of a typical French market town – Market Day is Thursday. Take a leisurely boat trip on the river Rance, boats leave daily from Dinan Port during the summer season for Saint Malo , a fortified town on coast . Flattened during the war, was reconstructed as it originally was. Surrounded by ramparts on all sides, it was a centre for pirates and corsairs, usually working for the king. – Half-hour drive.

Rennes – The Dukes of Brittany were crowned here and is the region’s capital today. The half-timbered centre burned down in 1720 and the “new” town with straight streets, big squares and imposing hotels dates from then. – Half-hour drive.
